    The client was at the end of its WAN service agreement for all locations in Canada and the United States. The original game plan was to launch a service tender to find a supplier who could assist the client in modernizing it telecommunications infrastructure.

    The ultimate goal was to establish a next generation network architecture to ensure effective communication and the company growth.

    The majority of the client’s business relies on a stable communication infrastructure that ensures the high quality of service delivered to customers. The SBK TELECOM team contributed to the success of the project by reducing costs based on a predetermined architecture.

    The client mandated SBK to assess answers as well as the detailed next generation network architecture based on the following criteria:

    With emphasis on leading WAN-based architecture, SBK TELECOM participated in the supplier selection process to ensure that the strict criteria stipulated in the client’s well-defined technology strategy and business needs were met. Following the supplier selection, SBK TELECOM was mandated to recommend the final network architecture.

    Our IT consultants played a key role in the selection of networking and security (firewall) equipment. SBK was also responsible for components integration and site migration.

    Once the solution was deployed, an SBK technical resource was put in place to support the new telecommunications environment; this resource acts as the client’s on-site network expert.

    The recommended solution delivers an increased protection of critical services in the event of an in-house or third party failure of service. Automatic redundancy mechanisms combined with the diversity implemented by SBK TELECOM ensure optimal business uptime and provide a backup strategy in the event of an emergency.
